MITRA - Cyprus Menopause Centre
Founded in 2022 and based in Cyprus, MITRA – Cyprus Menopause Centre is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to reshaping the menopause narrative. Our mission is to transform menopause into a time of empowerment, understanding, and optimal health for all.
MITRA is unique in its holistic approach, focusing on intersections of hormonal health, neurodivergence, musculoskeletal health, mental health, and aging—areas often overlooked in traditional healthcare. We aim to create an inclusive, equitable space where no one’s access to knowledge or support is limited by gender identity, background, or ability.
Our initiatives span local and global impact. From growing a vibrant Viber community in Cyprus to conducting Europe-wide research and surveys, we’re building connections to inform policy, improve healthcare, and empower individuals.
Through collaborations, workshops, and educational programs, MITRA ensures accurate, evidence-based training rooted in the latest guidelines, including those from the European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). We actively promote inclusivity and accessibility, supporting marginalized communities and fostering understanding at every level.
Looking ahead, MITRA is committed to becoming Europe’s leading menopause education and research center, driving change in workplace culture and empowering individuals to navigate menopause with confidence and dignity.
